Remember that you will need an OV Chipkaart public transport pass to use public transport in Rotterdam. Disposable passes for two underground journeys are available at Rotterdam Central Station at the entrance to the underground. You can also purchase an OV Chipkaart in advance from the RET webshop at ret.nl. Ret.nl also lists additional information on travelling with the OV Chipkaart.

By plane

Ahoy is also a great place to meet your international contacts. From Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, it is about an hour's journey to Ahoy by either taxi or train. In addition, Rotterdam The Hague Airport is an excellent alternative to Schiphol, particularly in light of the frequency of flights between London and other European centres.
